Hammerite 600ml Stonechip Shield Aerosol - Black

The Hammerite 5092832 Stone Chip Shield is a specialized protective paint designed for use on vehicles to guard against stone chips, moisture, and rust. It’s particularly useful for parts of the vehicle that are exposed to high wear, such as underbody areas, wheel arches, and sills.

Usage:

1. Surface Preparation:

   • Clean the area thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, and rust.
   • Sand the surface lightly to ensure good adhesion.
   • Ensure the surface is dry before application.

2. Application:

   • Shake the can well before use for at least 2-3 minutes.
   • Spray the product evenly onto the desired surface from a distance of about 15-20 cm.
   • Apply in several thin layers, allowing each coat to dry for around 5-10 minutes between applications.

3. Drying Time:

   • The product typically dries to the touch in about 30 minutes, but full curing may take a few hours depending on conditions.

4. After Application:

   • For best results, apply over primer or existing paint.
   • It provides a flexible, durable, and textured finish that resists chipping, salt, and moisture, preventing rust.
